Attorney Michael Devitt works primarily out of the Beaver Dam office and is a general practice associate, handling the majority of the firm's criminal and traffic defense work. Mr. Devitt, a Middleton, Wisconsin native, joined the firm in 2005. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Drake University School of Law in May 2005.
While in law school, Mr. Devitt spent his summer interning with the Wisconsin State Supreme Court and the Wisconsin Department of Justice. During his last year at Drake, Mr. Devitt worked at the Drake Legal Clinic as a student attorney sworn in under the Iowa student practice rule. Under the supervision of the clinic instructors, Mr. Devitt worked as a child advocate, handling both guardian ad litem cases and juvenile delinquency cases.
Mr. Devitt received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 2002, graduating with honors. Mr. Devitt majored in Political Science and minored in Criminal Justice. In addition, he was a four-year letter winner in swimming, leading his team as a two-year elected captain.
Mr. Devitt currently lives in Beaver Dam and is anxious to get involved in the Beaver Dam, Mayville, and surrounding communities.
